That is fantastic to have those goals! You have set them out clearly and I think they are all achievable. I am surprised you spell better than you read. I wonder why that is?
ReplyDeleteMake sure when you are reading for pleasure that you are getting books that are not too difficult which will be a turn off. Go for books that are on a subject you love or are funny or so exciting you just have to find out what happens next. Finding authors you really like helps too.
Not all reading can be just for pleasure, you will have to read for research or to follow instructions. The newspaper is good so is the internet - it's all reading.
I was thrilled to see you have got some others in your wider family writing blogs too.
Great goals HH! You have been doing really well with your newpapaer articles this week, I really enjoyed the 'Killer Whale' story you read before school on Friday, it was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried reading any of the 'Revolting Rhymes' yourself yet? It was always a favourite when I was younger.
Ali has made some really good points in her comment as well, the books you have been reading from Grammy seem really popular and you did well to read one in a day, keep up the good work.
I thought it was great this morning how you were able to recall most of the information in the three newspaer articles you read to Papa last night. Well done. Interesting that some people are not happy about some of the slogans being printed on the t-shirts at Kosmik, but then I guess you will never be able to please everyone.
